BoatPhotos.co.uk was formed in 2005. We have no permanent mooring, preferring to move up and down the south coast at will, enabling us to photograph a wide variety of craft and backdrops. Full on board office facilities enable us to manage the website, upload photos, process orders etc.

Equipment
We chose the Canon range from the start and now have three models. The 5d we used last year (2009) has been replaced by a 7d - an 18 megapixel camera which can take an awesome 10 frames a second. This can be vital when shooting fast moving subjects. The 7d is backed up by a Canon 450 DS and a Canon 350D (still takes great photos!) The most important part of the kit is an Image Stabilised telephoto lens with a focal length of 28-300mm. The versatility of this lens is superb, enabling us to get close up and distance shots without having to swap lenses.
