It’s really hard for a boat owner to get a photograph of him/herself on the water without going to a great deal of expense. Boatphotos.co.uk gets around this by taking photographs of people out on the water, downloading them to a website and then relying on a percentage of owners to buy them. We have tried and proved the system on a localised basis and now want to recruit experienced Photographers/Boat owners to take on franchises throughout the UK. Obviously, the better the photos, the more likely people are to buy them, so we’re keen to recruit experienced photographers who are ambitious to get out on the water in all weathers, take exciting pictures and earn money!

Equipment

You will need a decent digital camera – we would suggest 5 megapixel minimum. You can expect to take 500/600 shots in a day so plenty of storage capacity and battery supplies are a must. You’ll need an image stabilised telephoto lens as a conventional unit will just blur. You also need a boat! The best combination is a partnership between a photographer and a boat driver – that way you’ll get the most exciting pictures that will sell. The extra costs of two people should be outweighed by higher sales. At the end of each day you’ll need to crop and sort your photos and then upload them to the website.

What a franchise can offer

You will have exclusive rights to an area of coast/inland waterway for 12 months. We will provide all branding, advice on equipment and training on website management. You will receive a weekly sales statement with accompanying payment. Provided you achieve agreed targets then the franchise is available at a nominal fee.
